Milestones
- Development in disciplinary team in providing assistance for children CPCR pioneered and developed the operational process of disciplinary team, since 1995 aimed at developing capacity of multidisciplinary team in terms of skills related to the filed of families and children particularly in the area of medical, and social work including legal. After all these has been done, the staff would be more specialize and qualified to be a part of our development in operational process through comprehensive capacity building by obtaining workshop, conferences and orientation.
- Driven law enforcement regarding to Child’s Protection CPCR played important role in driven development in law related to child and family issues as follows;
- Adjustment on additional trait procedure of Criminal Act Vol.20 The law was indicated to allow professionals in related area of child and families fields take part in justice system during the trait cover to the scenarios, which the children are in victimized stage and offender including witness. As a result, the children would not have to face with impact on their mental health conditions.
- The Child Act 2002 was remarked as comprehensive law related to child’s issues of the kingdom that would allow self-center in solving problems and aimed at prevention work in children and families. By indicating roles of disciplinary team and concerned partners, they would become a focal point in promoting and developing family to get involve and reach the potential standard child rearing.
- Advocating researches and academic assignment to develop child’s prevention tasks. CPCR take this into account as an ongoing process in expanding our mandates to cover in dept academic assignment. Thus. we attempt to create data base of abuse children in Thailand through cooperation among our counterparts related to our target groups to form systematic database for utmost benefit in transferring information such as medical staff, social workers, legal staff and positive networks.
Besides. CPCR also develop our research field in risk management and basic standard in child rearing in order to allow the bigger picture to reveal the indicators and categorize them in each group. In fact, this would enable us to provide assistance and protection including solutions according to the needs and situation of children and families. Also, this would become vital mechanism in supporting and promoting private and government agencies of our concerned groups to take part and assist families to meet the potential basic standards in child rearing.
- Pioneer, Develop and produce curriculum and activities to urge child’s protection from being abuse. Under collaboration from our concerned partners, we coped with educational office, the office of protection for child and youth, CPCR, Ministry of Education, Ramathiphadee Hospital and TK Park. We managed to implemented followed projects;
- Program on Feeling Yes Feeling No initiated from 1997 concentrating on building up the skills in avoiding sexual harassment on the children at the ages of 9-12 years old. Currently, CPCR is disseminating the program through orientating educational staff in Bangkok and other provinces. This has been disseminated in children and become widely accepted among concerned partners.
- Activity on United Family has been organized, since 2000 till present under cooperation of professionals from related field in the area to participate in the activity. The school is a focal point where the activity was emerge as a blue print for other concerned agencies to adopt the strategy.
- Studying Room for Parents was created to strengthening knowledge and skills in child rearing for parents through Collective Help divided into groups, this has been implemented since 1999. The number of the group rise up to 1000 through group gathering turning into the Family Association comprise with active members participating in activities consistently.
